Erosion Control Matting are placed over soil and anchored in place with staples, the matting does just what its name hints at: controls erosion.  By mitigating the amount of water that reaches the soil, erosion control matting limits the amount of soil which is lost. Curlex is a wood machined mat of curled wood excelsior of 80% six-inch or longer fiber length.  It has consistent thickness, with the fibers evenly distributed over the entire area of the blanket.  Both the top and bottom of each blanket shall be covered with a photodegradable, extruded plastic mesh.   Material shall not contain any chemical additives.

Recyclex Recyclex TRM (Turf Reinforcement Matting) is a permanent, erosion control blanket made from 100% recycled Green Soda Bottles. There are 20 green soda bottles in every pound of Recyclex turf reinforcement mats. 80% or more of the fibers in every mat are 6 inches or greater in length.
